Day of silence, and others.

Damn, I really blew this shit to hell didn't I? Well, who cares. I'll make an attempt to post more, but I'll keep posts good and meaningful. I heard about this article which was very very interesting. Basically it said that theres no point in doing a blog/podcast or whatnot if you yourself won't read it. Generally I try to only post on things that are at least somewhat interesting. Well, on to the meat.

First of all, what's with the bullshit around this day of silence crap? Ok, this is not aimed at gays. Yes, I'm sure some of you have heard me make some hateful remarks, but well, I do that to everybody. In actuality, I really have no problem with gays. It's a preference. It's like not liking the movie 'Fight club' which I'll talk about in a minute. As long as you don't bombard me with your preference, and that holds true for all preferences, I hate 'fan'boys/girls for lack of a better term. So, I'm fine with gays, but do we need this 'day of silence'? My opinion, no, not at all. It's discriminative.
First issue is how stupid it is. So by not talking for a day, your going to make the whole world 'suffer' or 'recognize' the 'discrimination' and 'plight' that gays receive. Fucking retarded idea. GAYS NO LONGER SUFFER AS MUCH AS YOU THINK NUMBNUTS! Christ, I can't turn on my TV without seeing gay show or primarily gay show, or go through school without seeing some sort of gay event/show/benefit or whatnot. Where's all this discrimination? If you talk about High school abuse, well, just shut the hell up right there. Gays are discriminated against just as much as other groups. Hell, I played a lot of sports and there was even discrimination amongst the people who are generally labeled as the 'enemy' to these people. IT'S HIGH SCHOOL! That's what high school is. Four years of taking shit for whatever you do or are in to. Football players made fun of cross country, Soccer players made fun of track and vice versa. Jocks beat on nerds, Nerds beat on losers. That's just how shit works man. No matter what your preference, Someone is gonna dislike or even hate you for it.
Secondly, It's kinda a stupid idea. I mean, The people who generally partake in this 'day of silence' are ones who most people don't listen to anyway, so who cares. Also, being gay doesn't disrupt the flow of society. Are you really serving the gay community by not doing your job, or work, or whatever requires interaction. Gay's don't do that. It seems like a stupid idea to show the gay community in such an unproductive light.
Lastly, do you have to be so open about it? Isn't the point to show the world or whatnot, the 'cold shoulder' the gay community receives. So to do this your going to tell the WHOLE FUCKING WORLD ABOUT IT?! That's the stupidest part about it. Wouldn't it have more effect if it was more secretive? You guys encourage everyone to participate. What happens if they all do? If everyone participated, then nobody would feel the 'neglect' or 'silence' the gay community really doesn't feel, but you decided it does.
If you hate what I say, please write me hatemail! I'd love to hear your defense of this stupid 'holiday'. Please send them to the comments line, or if your too much of a wuss, to paltir@gmail.com.

My next topic is Fight club. HOLY SHIT THIS MOVIE KICKED ASS! Really there's not much to say besides that. I expected it to be all about guys beating on each other and maybe some type of mob related activity due to gambling. Boy was I fucking WRONG! It raises some interesting points, for sure. In my podcast I'll talk more about what I think was the most interesting thing about the movie. It's almost hypocritical. Anyway, I love this movie and need to see it again.

That's all for me today. I'll be back later with another blog thing....
